Internationalism in Year 5

In Year 5, to further enhance the children’s learning, we have been providing the children with optional activities which they can do at home. One area we have focused on is internationalism as it is one of the 5 pillars of Nord Anglia and it develops the children’s understanding of the world. Over the course of the academic year, the children have the opportunity to complete a project on 5 different countries. So far, they have learnt about Mexico, U.K. and Morocco.   The children were given the freedom to present their learning in a manner of their own choosing. We have seen some fantastic presentations, posters and non-chronological reports. Additionally, we heard about the culinary experiences the children have had at international restaurants around Shanghai. The next country focus will be Peru and the Year 5 teachers are looking forward to learning more from our fantastic students.
