This year, the Global Campus Creative Writing competition set our students challenges that were designed to bring out their best writing. This year's themes were chosen to compliment the work we do with UNICEF and the Global Challenge on Goals 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, and 12, Sustainable Consumption and Production. While writing about these themes, we wanted students to envision what the future will look like through the lens of the two goals. What will our world look like is these Goals aren't met? What would our world look like if they were met?
Students aged 8 to 11 years old were tasked with writing on the theme of "Down in the Dumps," students aged 11 to 14 years were asked to write about a "City of the Future," and students aged 14 and above were invited to share an example of their best written work.
The Global Campus Visual Arts competition then invited students to create a work of art in any medium, which represented one of the written entries selected for the publication.
Students from more than 40 Nord Anglia schools participated in the challenge and the caliber of entries continues to increase year on year.
