Wow! Our Middle School Science Olympiad Team won five awards, including two first-place spots, at the Illinois Science Olympiad State Tournament.

Held on April 16 at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, the Illinois Science Olympiad State Tournament hosted students from 46 schools who qualified based on their outstanding performances at regional and local competitions. Our Science Olympiad Team was the first in school history to qualify for the State Tournament.

Science Olympiad (SO) is a nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education. SO puts on a series of rigorous academic competitions throughout the year, which require knowledge of science concepts, process skills and science applications.

We’re so proud of the students below. They’ve worked so hard this school year, putting in dozens of hours of work after school and at competitions. Congratulations!
