Years 1- 6 had so much fun this week getting outside on their bikes and improving their riding skills. Children learned new skills at all levels. Many of our younger students came off their training wheels, while older students learned and practiced how to use hand signals to indicate their intentions to drivers and how to use different road systems including left turns. A group of advanced riders from year 5/6 even took to the roads around school, putting what they had learned into practice on real roads.
Thank you so much to all the parent volunteers who helped us out this week, running around with beginners, manning stop signs and chaperoning the road rides - it makes such a difference to what all the children are able to achieve!
