A Note from Emma Ryves, Foundation 1 Teacher:
Being able to watch the playground being built from start to finish was an exciting event for the children an allowed them to see the process that it involved. They were so excited when it opened last week and they got to be part of this.
The imagination gardens is a great new space, with a variety of different materials which will enable us to bring learning to life, especially building on the imaginations of the children, as well as being able to mirror the learning that happens inside the classroom with all areas of the curriculum covered.
Last week the children pretended the stage was a pirate ship, jumping into the ocean. The grass has become home to our very own NFL stadium and the rubber crumb has been turned into a castle, using a variety of materials hung around the poles.
We are in the middle of making a musical station for our new outside learning environment and need any any old pots, pans or utensils. If you have any to donate, please bring into school at your earliest convenience.
