Nursery
There's no dress code in our nursery. You may need to provide waterproofs (jacket and trousers) and Wellington boots for outdoor activities.
Reception to Year 6
All school uniform items (except trousers and shorts) should have the official Nord Anglia Education (NAE) logo.
Winter
- BISB Navy-blue V-neck jumper, or vest
- BISB Pale blue short or long-sleeved polo shirt
- Navy-blue tailored trousers (no leggings, jeans or ‘combat style’ trousers) or school pinafore
- Plain socks (white or navy-blue) or plain tights (navy-blue) (no patterned tights)
- Plain leather type black shoes or sandals
- Optional playtime/outdoor shoes – trainers (black or white)
Summer 1st May to 30th September (optional, instead of the above)
- BISB Navy blue and white flowered dress.
- BISB Pale blue school polo shirt with navy blue skort/shorts.
- Plain leather-type black shoes or sandals.
PE kit
- BISB Short sleeved school T-shirt in their house colour: red, blue, green or yellow (to be bought after the confirmation of their house)
• BISB Navy-blue sports shorts or skort or navy-blue tracksuit trousers
• BISB Navy-blue tracksuit top
• Plain white or navy-blue sports socks
• Lightweight indoor trainers or gym shoes with non marking soles
• In winter, additional layers are advised
• A cap can be worn outside during the summer
Footwear
Every child needs at least one smart pair of black shoes or sandals, which are worn in the school building (indoor shoes). These will also be worn if your child represents the school outside of the building. In winter months, plain boots can be worn outside.
Secondary (Years 7-11)
All secondary students wear a school uniform. Our teachers encourage students to take pride in their appearance, and our uniform must be worn correctly on buses, in class, and when on a school trip (unless special permission has been given). Your child's uniform should be clearly labelled with their name. All school uniforms should be purchased from the School's Exclusive Uniform Supplier TRUTEX.

Hair, make-up and jewellery
- Students can wear a watch, and simple conservative necklace, or a simple, conservative jewellery. All jewellery must be removed for PE
- Students can wear discrete make-up, but it needs to be natural colours only
- Hairstyles must be conservative in style and natural colours only
- Nails should be short and natural. Students can wear pale, discreet nail varnish
- Students can wear stud earrings or small hoops in their ears. Nose piercings and ear-cartilage piercings are allowed if the studs are small and discreet
- Visible tattoos are not allowed on any part of the body.
IB Diploma (Years 12 and 13)
IB students are the role models of the school, and as such are expected to dress and act in a smart and respectable manner at all times. This means that they must dress in smart professional attire.
Dress code
Overall: neat, conservative and well-fitting in colour, style and size
- Tops should be professional, e.g collared shirt, blouse, cardigan, smart jumper or turtleneck
- Blazers and ties are optional
- Tailored trousers, tailored shorts, skirts or dresses
- Ankle length socks or plain tights
PE kit
All IB students
- Lightweight indoor trainers or gym shoes with non-marking sloes
- A cap can be worn outside during the summer
Year 12 (Graduating in 2025)

- Dark blue or black plain sports trousers (leggins or tracksuit trousers)
- BISB hoodie
