Students at the British International School Bratislava, part of the global Nord Anglia Education family of schools, are celebrating after receiving their IGCSE results.
Karen Eastwood, Head of School at BISB said: "Huge congratulations to our Year 11 students on their excellent IGCSE results this year. With 94.8% of our students achieving A*- C grades, 78% of our students achieving A*-B grades and 52.6% achieving A*- A grades across all subjects, this demonstrates our students' all-round strength."
We also had 4 students who achieved a 'full house' of 10 A*- A IGCSE grades! Congratulations to Runan H., Isabella H., Jonty K., and Kristina Y., who received the best 8 score of 64 points.
Kristina in Year 11 is celebrating her amazing results. Kristina said: "I am really pleased with the IGCSE results I’ve accomplished with endless support and help given by teachers. Within the next 2 years of IBDP at BISB, I immensely look forward to seeing the level of personal growth I will achieve, especially through the CAS component to elevate the sporty, artsy, and humane aspects of my personality. The six subject groups combined with the core components will expose me to different academic possibilities and help to influence my future path."
Jonty in Year 11 is celebrating with 10A*s. Jonty said: "The past two years have been extremely challenging, but I am grateful for the measures put into place by the school to help me achieve my results. I now feel ready and prepared to confidently move forward in my future studies to become a professional chef."
These results follow this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme results, where BISB achieved the best results in the school's history with an average IB score of 37.41 and with 44% of our students achieving 40+ points and a 100% pass rate. Read about our IBDP success here
At BISB, we follow the Cambridge IGCSE courses to help students prepare for their future IB diploma programme studies. During their two-year IGCSE courses, students may pick between 7 and 11 specific subject areas, including mandatory core subjects as well as optional programmes in music, art, physical education and more. Our school provides an invaluable opportunity for students to begin to specialize in areas of their choice in preparation for future academic and career pursuits. Learn more about our IGCSE here
