Global Campus Visual Arts Competition

Global Campus Visual Arts Competition - global-campus-visual-arts-competition
Global Campus Visual Arts Competition This year's Global Campus Visual Arts competition gave children an opportunity to learn more about Climate Change. The Year 6 Extended Literacy class took the opportunity to think about which aspect of Climate Change was most important to them and what we should be doing to combat it. The children were then asked to depict this in a medium of their choice to illustrate their thoughts.

This year's Global Campus Visual Arts competition gave children an opportunity to learn more about Climate Change. The Year 6 Extended Literacy class took the opportunity to think about which aspect of Climate Change was most important to them and what we should be doing to combat it. The children were then asked to depict this in a medium of their choice to illustrate their thoughts.

Congratulations to Bea, Andy, Amelia, Kerem and Lalrinpuii for submitting their entries. Each of them interpreted climate change in a different way and demonstrated their artistic talents fantastically.

Only one entry could be submitted to the Global Competition, Lalrinpuii's work was really clear and used colours boldly to show that humans are responsible for climate change and so her work was entered for BISB.

Lalrinpuii wrote about her work: „I have made this work to represent the fact that WE are the cause of climate change, therefore many of our planet's special, one of a kind animal kingdom has been threatened due to our actions of self-comfort. Animals like the sea turtles and monarch butterflies are endangered!“

Well done Lalrinpuii!  Winners from the global competition will be announced at the beginning of May.
