Our students and staff in Tanzania are now in the remote Maasai village, Ngare Sero.
While they won't have access to internet during this time, we'll do our best to keep the community updated on their activities.
According to their itinerary for service work this week, the Tanzania group arrived in Ngare Sero yesterday and spent the afternoon meeting the local permaculture and sustainable farming team who will be leading the development of the village school's farming site.
Today, March 23, students and staff will visit the Maasai school, meet with the children there and get to know the stakeholders of the sustainable farming project better. They will work with the locals to determine the school's food needs, and begin planning for the next few days of work on the farming site itself.
We look forward to sharing more information about their work in the coming days, and look forward to getting some amazing photographs from their time in Ngare Sero once the group has better access to the internet.
Don't forget to look through all our photos from the week prior of service work in Tanzania if you haven't already. You can find them here on the school Facebook page.
