Science Learning Night, led by Head of Science Tom Murphy, turned parents into the students, sharing information on the school's science curriculum and learning approach, and then helping the attendees through four chemistry experiments.
The parents and students involved had a great time, trying their hand at creating and carefully observing chemical reactions to change the color of water, change the color of fire, and make thin air pop.
After working through the experiments and answering a series of questions about each chemical reaction, parents looked on as Mr. Murphy performed an experiment of his own, using a chemical reaction to turn solid iron into molten iron.
It was a great night of learning for our parents! We look forward to hosting similar future events.
