Theresa started at BISB three and a half years ago, and will be attending St. Francis Xavier University in the fall. Theresa said she could see herself living at St. Francis Xavier after her first visit, and is looking forward to studying International Relations at the institution.
Bea started at BISB four years ago, as a Year 10 student. Beatriz applied to and was accepted to several colleges in the Boston area and abroad, including England and Spain. She will be selecting a school in the coming months, choosing between Kings College, the ICADE School of Business in Madrid, Northeastern University and Suffolk University. She is interested in studying business.
Mavi has attended BISB since Year 7, and will be studying at Bard College in the fall. Mavi said the students and staff at Bard are very open-minded, and that that mindset drew her to the school. She hopes to study languages.
Noah came to BISB eight years ago in Year 5, and will be attending Harvard University in the fall. Noah was also accepted to Duke University, UC-Berkley and New York University, but is looking forward to attending Harvard in the fall. He plans to study mathematics.
Hannah started at BISB in 2012, and will be participating in post-graduate studies in Toronto beginning this fall. She plans to study math and physics before entering college.
Athanasia started at BISB in 2004. She will attend Smith College next year and hopes to continue the study of foreign languages she started at BISB. She said it was Smith’s open curriculum that drew her to the school.
Brendan started at BISB in Year 11, and will be attending Wentworth Institute of Technology in the fall. Brendan said he felt Wentworth was a great fit for him, from the classes and the people to the extracurricular activities and facilities. He plans to study industrial design.
Roger started at BISB in Year 1, and will be attending Colby College in the fall. Roger said he chose Colby College after speaking with a number of professors and visiting the school’s Maine campus. He hopes to study computer science and economics.
Nate started at BISB as a Year 10 student. He will attend Brigham Young University next year, where he hopes to study economics. Nate said he chose BYU because of its educational atmosphere, and that he knows several people who attend the school.
Joelle started at BISB 13 years ago as a Year 1 student. Joelle will attend Colby College in the fall, and said she is looking forward to learning in the college’s small, personalized classes. Joelle said she is interested in studying animal behavior or communications and public relations.
Joshua has attended BISB for 13 years, and will be headed to Colby College next fall. Joshua said he likes the personalized learning environment Colby College offers, and is interested in studying economics, computer science or politics.
