Educational Background
- BA (Hons), Human Geography with Sociology, University of Worcester, UK
- PGCE Geography, Institute of Education, University College London, UK
Before teaching at BIS Hanoi, I lived and worked in London for nine years, teaching at two schools in the capital. I started my career as a Geography teacher, before becoming a second in department and finally a Head of Year three years before moving to Vietnam.
I'm passionate about the three subjects I teach here at BIS Hanoi, as well as my role as Head of Year 11. I believe that teachers should be a gateway for young people to realise and unlock their potential. This includes inspiring empathy, compassion and commitment among the young people that we work with.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two young children, reading books related to environmental issues and sustainable futures, and playing badminton.
