Educational Background
- BA, Tourism and Leisure Management, John Moores University, UK
- PGCE, Primary Education (3-7 years), University of Brighton, UK
I’ve had the pleasure of working at BIS Hanoi for over 7 years, where I have taught in both Year 1 and F3. Before moving to Hanoi, I taught F3/Reception classes in schools in Brighton and London, so I’ve been teaching for over 11 years in total. I originally came to Hanoi with a plan of staying for two years - but I love the city and school so much that I haven't been tempted to leave!
I’m incredibly passionate about developing early reading and writing, and currently hold the position of Phonics Leader here at the school. One of the greatest joys of working in F3 is teaching young children how to read and write; I love immersing children in a world of stories through our play-based approach to learning.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, taking long walks around Tay Ho Lake, and exploring new destinations with my friends.
