"I use feedback to help children understand their next steps so that they take ownership of their learning and progress. By understanding how they can improve, they become more confident in reaching their full potential."
She also values the impact of small class sizes. "Having a smaller class allows me to work one-on-one with each child and ensure they get the most out of their lessons," Charlotte explains. This individualised support helps students feel seen and supported in their learning.
"I love teaching at BIS because of all the opportunities available—not just for me as a teacher, but for the students as well. I help run the Primary Choir and lead maths across primary. I’ve also been fortunate to organise an international competition for the children, which has been an incredible experience. I love working with the students to develop their skills even further."
Charlotte is especially inspired by the enthusiasm of BIS students. "One thing that sets the children apart at BIS is their thirst for knowledge and their drive to improve themselves. I’ve never worked in a place where students are so genuinely excited to grow and learn across all areas of the school."
"The children at BIS are caring and respectful. They have a natural curiosity that helps them grow—not just academically, but also socially."
"I’ve lived in Vietnam for four years now, and I absolutely love it. I love the energy of the city, the crowds, and the constant buzz of activity. There’s always something new to discover, which makes living here an exciting and enriching experience."
With her dedication to student success, her passion for teaching, and her love for life in Hanoi, Charlotte Beasant continues to inspire young learners at BIS Hanoi, making a lasting impact on their education and personal growth.
