The expedition commenced with a memorable first day as the students set up camp in Hang Kia amidst a gentle rainfall. However, the following morning brought a delightful surprise, as they awoke to find themselves enveloped in a blanket of clouds.
Day two presented a muddy jungle trek downhill, leading the adventurers into the verdant and serene valley below. Undeterred by the challenging terrain, the students embraced the experience, demonstrating their commitment to overcoming obstacles with unwavering enthusiasm. After a long day of trekking, students finally pitched their tents in the village of Kia.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these remarkable campers for their unwavering determination and remarkable teamwork. Their accomplishments during the practice expedition exemplify the core values of the Duke of Edinburgh Expedition programme, fostering personal growth, resilience, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.
As the students return from their adventure, they carry with them a sense of achievement and memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. We look forward to witnessing their continued growth as they embark on the next phase of their DofE journey, equipped with the invaluable skills and experiences gained from this remarkable expedition.
Stay tuned for more updates and inspiring stories from our DofE participants as they continue to push their limits and embrace the spirit of adventure.
