This week we also welcomed many guest speakers and specialists coming to share some useful insights with our parents. As part of their annual visit to our school, Dance specialists from The Juilliard School, Ms Salla Saarikangas and Ms Ashley Brown, led an interactive workshop for parents to discover the power of Dance in their child’s curriculum. Dr. Mattias from Family Medical Practice, delivered sessions in English, Korean and Vietnamese on the importance of sleep and its impact on children's learning and their cognitive and physical development. In addition, following the two recent successful sessions with our students and staff members, we also welcomed back Ms Ngoc Nguyen, author of the book "Weird Culture Kids", to talk about the nature and needs of third culture kids to parents as well as the importance of an inclusive, diverse and equitable culture for children.
Our busy week continues this weekend with the first in-person Model United Nations Conference hosted by our students. They will welcome almost 90 high school delegates from different international schools in the region. I am extremely proud of all their effort in organising this event and I hope it would be a wonderful experience for all.
Finally, I hope BIS families will enjoy a fun-filled day at our Spring Social this Sunday from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
Wishing you a great weekend,
Richard Vaughan
Principal
