Principal's Weekly Update (3 March 2023)

Principal's Weekly Update (3 March 2023) | BIS Hanoi - Principal Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

This week we celebrated the whole-school Book Week with a wide range of activities from Monday to Friday! Throughout the week, our students from Early Years to Sixth Form enjoyed reading sessions in the library, sharing their favourite books, and came to school today dressing up as their favourite book characters. I was very pleased to join other staff members and students to talking my favourite book in today's assembly.

Today our U13 FOBISIA teams headed off to compete against eight other international schools in Thailand at the regional FOBISIA Games. Please join me in wishing them all the best in this tournament. Go Lionhearts! U13 FOBISIA Team 2023 | BIS Hanoi

This week, our Parent Connect workshop series continued in both Primary and Secondary schools. For parents of Years 11 and 13, our Assistant Head of Secondary, Ms Gemma Archer, and the team held different sessions in English, Korean and Vietnamese, discussing effective study strategies for the students with some helpful advice to help parents support their children as they prepare for their final exams. In Primary, our PSHE Leader, Mr Aaron Watkins, led a workshop on the topic of Emotions and Well-being, sharing about our Zones of Regulation approach to help parents understand and support their children with expressing their emotions and self-managing their well-being.

My thanks to all the parents who came to our Parent Connect sessions and I hope these sessions provided some useful information and tips for supporting your child at home.

Have a relaxing weekend.

Kind regards,

Richard Vaughan
