Dear Parents,
Chuc Mung Nam Moi! I hope you all had a wonderful Tet holiday, whether you were travelling or enjoying time at home with family and friends. A very warm welcome to all the new families joining us this week, and welcome back to Term 2 everyone!
The students were bouncing back into school on Wednesday, swapping stories of their holiday adventures and catching up with friends they’d missed, which was heartwarming to see. Getting right back into learning and entry points happening across the school, we saw future NASA candidates in Year 5 build and launch rockets, while many new topics were also launched in other year groups!
At BIS, we want to create opportunities for leadership for all our students, and Mr. Watkins has been doing just that with the help of the student council this week. Playground leaders have been enjoying their training sessions with Mr. Watkins, and we look forward to seeing all the students enjoy all our new play equipment over the coming weeks while also taking good care of these new resources and making sure they are well-looked after.
Next week is our first drop of Term 2, starting in EYFS, Year 1 and 2, with a writing drop-in. Mrs Hayward will be delivering a workshop for parents and giving them tips on what to look for when they are joining in some writing lessons on February 7th.
We look forward to seeing you all next week.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Rebecca Carroll
Head of Primary
