Principal's Weekly Update (13 January 2023)

Principal's Weekly Update | BIS Hanoi - Principal Weekly Update
Dear Parents,
It has been wonderful this week to see the amazing photos coming through from our Secondary students enjoying their adventures in locations around Vietnam. Crafts, rock climbing, bricklaying, basket weaving, trekking, etc. A host of skills are being developed and a bag full of memories of time shared with friends. Well done everyone.
Our Year 11 and Year 13 students have remained at school focusing on their trial exams for IGCSE and IB Diploma. Let’s encourage these students as they head for the final chapter of the academic year, leading up to their final exams. Keep up the good work.

This week we have also hosted two conferences here at BIS. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and the Department for Education and Training (DOET) here in Hanoi, we welcomed delegates focusing on educational technology. We joined forces with BVIS Hanoi who sent students to our campus to showcase some special Tet performances.

We also entertained one of our community partners – KOTO who held their general meeting at BIS once again.

A reminder to all parents that you are most welcome to join us for our special Tet assembly next Tuesday 17th January at 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.

School then closes for two weeks, reopening to all students on Wednesday 1st February.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Lunar New Year. Enjoy a restful break with your families.

Kind regards,

Richard Vaughan
