In this Term 3 issue of BIS Student Magazine, NOVUS, our students focused on exploring the development of diverse topics across industries. Development is a crucial process in all aspects of life, from sciences and arts to economies and cultures. By looking at the development process of a certain topic, we gain an understanding of how it has evolved in order to find solutions to future problems.
The term ‘development’ has been interpreted in some authentic yet diverse viewpoints of our young authors, demonstrating their unique perspectives on global issues. From the evolution of vaccination to the transformation of fashion trends over time, the writers have contributed their own unique opinions to the topic, explaining the abstract definition to a certain level of clarity.
Through creative and engaging content and an exquisite choice of words and graphics, the magazine exemplifies how our students are excellent in critical thinking, writing, and presenting ideas and opinions.
We are proud of what our students have accomplished in completing this termly magazine in this academic year of 2021-22, as they were able to not only share their personal ideas but also use what they have learned at school to express them with originality and creativity in this latest issue as well as previous editions. As Seon Ju (Year 13) stated in the editorial, "when we become determined to change, the transformation has already begun". NOVUS is evidence of our students' ongoing efforts to improve themselves.
