BIS Hanoi students win the NAE Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2022 1,370 students from 64 schools shared outstanding musical performances for our team of global judges and students from BIS Hanoi were amongst the winners!

We didn’t think that Nord Anglia Educations Virtual Young Musician of the Year competition could get any bigger. We were wrong! 1,370 students from 64 schools shared outstanding musical performances for our team of global judges and students from BIS Hanoi were amongst the winners!

We want to send our heartfelt congratulations to these following students for their wonderful achievements in the Virtual Young Musician competition this year.

First and foremost, congratulations to Tae Hyeon in Year 6 for placing 2nd in the Classical Brass Age 7 to 10 category with his excellent performance.

Siyoon is another outstanding winner from Year 6, receiving Special Mention in Classical Strings Age 11 to 14 category. Congratulation Siyoon!

And finally, Junpyo (Eric) in Year 8 once again amazed us all with his incredible piano performance, taking 1st place in Classical Piano Age 11 to 14 category. This is also the second year in a row Eric has won another phenomenal prize in the NAE Virtual Young Musician competition. Well done Eric!

Let's take a look at Eric's musical performance.

We are thrilled to have such great musical talent in our school and want to thank all students who took part along with the winners above.

Playing a musical instrument requires patience, dedication and self-motivation key skills for all learners. Top academics often play instruments as it is these skills that allow them to succeed in other areas too.

We also have a special congratulations to Mr Scott, our Music Teacher, as he won the Brass popular category for the teachers in the competition. He is a great inspiration to all our students and an outstanding musician which was recognised by all the Nord Anglia judges.

Well done everyone.
