Following a successful recent cross-collaboration between our Year 9 Geography students, who taught a lesson on the wonderful world of volcanoes and plate boundaries to our Year 6s before the Christmas holidays, our Year 8s recently had the chance to do the same!
Some of our Year 8 Geographers volunteered to teach Year 3s about the various types and characteristics of rock. The students were extremely dedicated, spending every break and even after school hours preparing their lessons and ensuring that the presentation they delivered was fun, informative, and enjoyable.
The lesson this time was another huge success, as both the Primary and Secondary teams thoroughly enjoyed their lesson together. Our Year 3 students and team were wonderful hosts, with superb engagement and participation, and our Year 8 Geographers also delivered their lesson with great confidence and enthusiasm.
Judging by the comments made by the Year 3 students, they had a fantastic experience and learning opportunity.
Year 8s also couldn't hide their delight at their outstanding achievement.
The tremendous effort and engagement of all students are what strengthen the bonds of our school community. It gives us great pleasure to see the bridge between our Primary and Secondary schools continue to grow stronger through activities like this.
Congratulations to Year 8 students (Ji Ha, Yeon Hong, Sun Woo, Kano, Gi Yeon, Joshua, Seo Bin) and the rest of Year 3s for creating such memorable highlights at the very start of this term.
