Dear Parents,
It was nice to see parents on site for the Parent Coffee Mornings. Despite the need for social distancing, it was still enjoyable to welcome parents into the school. The home-school partnership has always been a strong one at BIS Hanoi. Good relationships between the school and parents provide the best foundation for our children to flourish.
You are experts in your children, and we are experts in providing a world class education. Together, we can bring all of our resourcefulness to the challenges that children face, as they mature into responsible young adults.
We have expertise in all areas of pastoral care. Mr Graham has a passion for the health and safety of your children. From road safety to the provision of a balanced daily lunch, our Deputy Head works tirelessly to ensure that your children enjoy the safest of schools.
Mr Trett cares deeply about every aspect of your children’s school life. As Head of Pastoral Care, he ensures that the students of BIS Hanoi always have support in solving their problems. Mr Trett is very well supported by our 6 Heads of Year. No matter how busy BIS Hanoi is (and it gets very busy!), there will always be someone to provide personal help for your child.
Finally, Ms Fairbairn provides superb counselling to our students. She has significant expertise in university applications, but she is very skilled in providing social and emotional counselling, also. Growing up is tough but we can make it a little easier by working together. If your child ever has a problem, do not hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to help.
Tim Webb
Head of Secondary
We have had an action-packed agenda of inter-house activities, Christmas performances from Foundation Stage and Year 1, and today we had our Principal’s Award Assembly for the whole school.
I hope you have all had a good week and are beginning to get into the festive spirit ahead of the holiday season.
Thank you to all families who joined us to be entertained with our Secondary theatre production of A Little Shop of Horrors this week.
From Sunday onwards, we have had our CIS/WASC visiting team here at school. This has been a great opportunity to share all the wonderful things that we are providing for our students across all sections and to gain further insight and ideas to help us improve even further.
