Saturday, November 9, BIS Hanoi hosted the Middle School Girls Basketball tournament. Hard work paid off as the girls managed to win lots of their games!
With a full day of activities, our competitive squad competed in the morning against other local schools in the Hanoi activities conference league to see who was the champion of champions. The girls did a fantastic job with some very tough games. Overall, they managed to finish a very respectful 4th place overall. Ms Shanks & Mrs Petricca are very proud of all the girls' effort and commitment to the team for this season. All of the team worked exceptionally hard and showed excellent team spirit.
The afternoon was our festival team tournament with a record number of 3 BIS girls teams entered! The girls had a very busy afternoon with 9 matches for each team! They showed guts and determination all afternoon and managed to win lots of their games. The improvement in the students performances throughout this season has been fantastic! Also a special thank to our sports leaders who umpired all of the afternoon matches, without them the whole tournament wouldn’t have been such a success. Thank you to all students and parents who made an extra special effort to attend a very busy day of activities.
