The Moon Festival is one of the most highly anticipated events for students and teachers at BIS Hanoi. All students from Primary to Secondary join in the fun and were excited to participate in activities such as making moon cakes, dancing and singing songs to celebrate the Moon Festival.
Today, more than one hundred students, of various nationalities, contributed to the performance programme showcased in the assembly at BIS Hanoi.
It has become somewhat of a tradition here at BIS Hanoi that on this day every year, not only students but all teachers wear the traditional Ao Dai (Vietnamese long dress) to share the joy of celebrating the Moon Festival. Parents were also invited to the showcase, with several hundred attending. While within the school theatre, they were treated to a special performance of traditional and modern dancing and singing while being able to see the amazing colourful dresses and props on show.

We have had an action-packed agenda of inter-house activities, Christmas performances from Foundation Stage and Year 1, and today we had our Principal’s Award Assembly for the whole school.
I hope you have all had a good week and are beginning to get into the festive spirit ahead of the holiday season.
Thank you to all families who joined us to be entertained with our Secondary theatre production of A Little Shop of Horrors this week.
From Sunday onwards, we have had our CIS/WASC visiting team here at school. This has been a great opportunity to share all the wonderful things that we are providing for our students across all sections and to gain further insight and ideas to help us improve even further.
