NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
On Saturday, 11 Windermere Preparatory School Band Members from both the Middle School and High School Performed at the Florida Bandmasters Association Solo and Ensemble Music Performance Assessment at University High School. To participate, the students all learned a solo from the Classical Repertoire on their instruments and performed it with a piano accompanist. Students are rated on their performances by an adjudicator with Superior and Excellent being the highest two ratings, and they can earn their way to State Solo and Ensemble by achieving a Superior Rating at this district event with a Grade 5 or higher solo. Here are the results from the event: John Rafferty earned an Excellent Rating on an Alto Saxophone Solo, Jasmine Goyarrola earned an Excellent Rating on a Clarinet Solo, Jackson Dowling earned a Superior Rating on a Trombone Solo, Kyle Ma earned a Superior Rating on a Trombone Solo, Patrick Ma earned a Superior Rating on a Trumpet Solo, Gregory Polo earned a Superior Rating on a Trombone Solo, Sidney Provencher earned a Superior Rating on a Trumpet Solo, and Sam Funk earned a Superior Rating on a Tuba Solo. In addition to these students, we are also very proud to announce that the following three students earned their way to State Solo and Ensemble (pictured below): Rayyan Shaik - Superior Rating on a Grade 6 Flute Solo, Matthew Lucas - Superior Rating on a Grade 5 Baritone Saxophone Solo, and Conner Hanson - Superior Rating on a Grade 5 Clarinet Solo.
