Going into this trip Year 9 was so excited, and that energy definitely stayed throughout the day.
Day 1 (10 Jan):
Going into this trip everyone was so excited, and that energy definitely stayed throughout the day. After the agonizing yet fun train ride, the year 9’s were ready to begin our adventures. Today there where three activities divided by three groups. Those activities include service work to provide home for the endangered species, cycling across Phong Nha's beautiful scenery, and visiting one of Phong Nha's most ancient caves.
“Cooperating with my friends was a great experience, and an amazing way to talk to people I don’t usually talk to. This was an amazing opportunity to learn about the rare animals in our world, and we were more than happy to make houses for the animals.” - Seung Yeon 9S
Another one of the exiting activities was exploring the caves of Phong Nha. Quoting Yoonji, her first impression of this cave was “wow”. She was overwhelmed by the beauty of the cave claiming that it looked like Jupiter. Yoonji - 9H
Last but not least - the cycling. “Although my bottom hurt from the long ride it was worth it. Every once in a while we saw water buffalos and bulls working the farms, pulling along carts. It was fun racing against my peers and yo-yoing back and forth between our friends.” - Amelie 9s
After this day we can’t wait for the next one, for all the amazing opportunities and sights to see!
