TWO VENUES, DOUBLE THE EXPERIENCE!

Your child will have the unique opportunity to participate in Performing Arts Festival rehearsals and workshops at our two Nord Anglia Education schools in Houston!

British International School of Houston

British International School of Houston’s impressive 33-acre campus is located in Katy, a city 30 miles west of Houston. The school is unlike any other in the Houston area; its world-class, modern, glass architecture was specifically designed for students’ activities and effective learning across age groups. The school features a centralised, collaborative workspace that allows students to gather and feed off each other’s ideas, a Juilliard-influenced Performing Arts Centre with a 600-seat theatre, black box performance space, choral room, and dance studio.

The Village School

Village’s campus spans 28 acres in a quiet, residential area of West Houston’s energy corridor. It includes over 200,000 square feet of colorful, bright, and open facilities, featuring a state-of-the-art athletic center, natatorium, amphitheater, and professional-grade black box theater and creative spaces to support outstanding learning experiences.

Accommodation

Students and chaperones from all schools will be staying at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Houston West - Katy.

Students will check in on Wednesday, February 5, and depart on Sunday, February 9. Children will have their bed in a shared suite with one or two other students. Accommodation will include breakfast.

Girls and boys will be on separate floors/wings. Chaperones will be placed close to their group of students on the same floor, so they can be available for them.

Please note: British International School of Houston and The Village School students will not stay at a hotel.

Chaperones

Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Throughout the Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival, your child will be assigned a chaperone to ensure appropriate supervision. Each chaperone will be required to attend the entire week and will be in charge of ten students. Chaperones will be appointed by the administration of each school. Only school staff may chaperone.

Getting Around

All trips will be arranged by Nord Anglia Education. Out-of-town students will fly to George Bush Intercontinental or William P. Hobby airports.

All flights will be booked by Nord Anglia Education considering costs and schedule. It will be the responsibility of the parents to drive their child to and from their home airport. Chaperones will only allow drop off and pick up of students with a parent present inside the airport. Please arrange to have at least one parent arrive and pick up at the arranged meeting point in the airport.

There will be prearranged coach buses with seatbelts between the hotel, schools, and all activities as well as for roundtrip airport transportation.
