Throughout summer 2019, the Northbridge International School Cambodia maintenance team have been hard at work making many improvements around our 20 acre campus, including a new Makerspace, Primary roof, Sports Hall walkway, fans, and motorbike park.
The Makerspace Mk 2 was revealed to students on the first day of term. As part of the first phase, a new glass dividing wall and doors were installed to separate the space from the Library downstairs. Sitting stairs were also constructed, allowing for more flexible seating, and furniture was removed to allow for increased project work. Stay tuned for even more exciting developments throughout the coming school year.
Fans were installed on the Cafeteria deck, helping to create a cool breeze when students sit down to enjoy their lunch, as well as opening up a potential new performance space.
A new roof was installed over the Primary building, providing protection from both the sun and rain for our students, and a new outdoor learning area for students in Grades 2 to 5.
A new, spacious covered motorbike park was opened adjacent to the Primary building, which now provides secure, covered parking for both our community as well as visitors.
Additional classrooms were created and furnished in the Secondary building, so that our older students now have even more educationl spaces in which to pursue their learning.
New doors were installed in Secondary classrooms, with the goal of bringing in more light and helping to create an open, welcoming school atmosphere for both students and staff.
Open learning support spaces were added in the Primary school, and then furnished with colorful displays and decor to help make additional classrooms for the benefit of students.
A new walkway was installed in front of the Sports Hall, now creating a complete loop around the Playing Field, as well as a new walking track and outdoor running route for students.
