Nord Anglia to open two new schools in China this September Our global family of schools continues to grow, with two brand-new schools in China set to officially open their doors to students on 1 September 2020 for the start of the new academic year. We are proud to say that this brings our total number of schools to 68, located across 29 countries around the world.

We are proud to say that this brings our total number of schools to 68, located across 29 countries around the world.

Our new schools are Nord Anglia School Guangzhou, Panyu and Nord Anglia School Jiaxing and they will join our six existing China Bilingual schools. Welcoming hundreds of new students this September, the schools will educate more than 3,500 students at full capacity.

About Nord Anglia School Gaungzhou, Panyu (NAS Guangzhou)

NAS Guangzhou (广州市番禺区诺德安达学校) is a day and boarding school in the city’s Panyu district with capacity for 1,728 students aged six to 15. Its bilingual offering is based on the Chinese National Curriculum integrated with globally respected international teaching pedagogy and education resources. The school’s founding Co-Principals are LinLin Yang and Richard Swann.

The school’s excellent facilities include junior and senior learning resource centres, computer labs, science laboratories, a STEAM centre, art studio and photography darkrooms. The school’s state-of-the-art classrooms and group learning facilities will allow students to collaborate and study independently as needed. NAS Guangzhou also benefits from a student to teacher ratio of 7:1.

Similarly, NAS Jiaxing (嘉兴市诺德安达学校) is a day and boarding school that offers students a premium bilingual, international education. It has a capacity of 2,028 students, catering for ages three to 18, from kindergarten to Grade 12, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 8:1. Facilities include a separate state-of-the-art Kindergarten, swimming pool, 400-seat theatre, 400m running track, and a well-equipped Learning Resource Centre. Its founding Co-Principals are Angela Shen and Craig John Lewis.
