Our IGCSE Art students at Nord Anglia International School Al Khor collaborated with Qatari calligrapher/artist, Fatima AlSharshani (@qaif.qa) and took part in the 'Zeeenah' initiative launched by The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar.
The initiative created an opportunity for everyone to celebrate Qatar's hosting of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by decorating their facilities to reflect the event. The design of the wall at NAISAK was inspired by the school's location not far from Al Bayt Stadium, a venue of the World Cup.
The words on the wall 'This is where history will be made', written in both English calligraphy, designed by the students, and Arabic calligraphy by Fatima, serve as a stunning and poignant reminder to all who visit the wall of the power of their potential.
We invite all visitors to Al Khor during the period of the World Cup, to come and sit in the stadium seat attached to their 'Zeeenah wall' and join us to be part of history in the making.
