JOIN NAISAK FOR A JANUARY 2025 START DATE
The IMYC is a challenging, internationally minded, concept-based curriculum, which helps develop engaged and active learners. With specific subject and personal learning goals, it provides a clear structure to develop knowledge, skills and understanding whilst making subject learning more connected.
Recently, Year 7 students came together to explore the IMYC Big Idea, “Collaboration”. When people work together, they can achieve a common goal. For the morning we split into 12 teams and students had to create pieces of an artwork that will come together at the end as a puzzle. The artwork reflected social messages linking up with the Big Idea – Collaboration.
At the end of each unit, students participate in an Exit Point activity which provides the students with an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned about the Big Idea. The teams will put their pieces of the puzzle together to form a complete artwork that will be displayed outside the art room.
These shared experiences provide opportunities for students and teachers to collaborate and develop a shared focus on student learning.
