It was a busy week for primary students last week with several competitions taking place. On Sunday 14th January, 36 students from Y3-6 took the long journey to Dukhan to participate in the cross-country competition. A total of 22 schools participated in the event with students in Y3 & 4 running 1.7km and Y5 & 6 running 2km across the tough desert terrain. All students ran fantastically well and competed for placings with students from other schools all the way to the finish line. We are awaiting confirmation of the overall school standings, but can confirm top 10 placings for Yomna Yasser (4S) and Nina Escomel (4A).  Well done to all students that competed in the grueling event!

On Wednesday 17th January the Y5 & 6 netball team travelled to AKIS to compete in the Netball festival. It was a fantastic event and the aim of the festival was to give students the experience of playing netball competitively, without the emphasis on winning and medals. The girls got better with every game and really worked hard as a team to pass the ball around all over the court. They lost the first two games to AKIS and won their last game convincingly against Pearling school. Well done girls!

The U13 netball team travelled to Doha to play Compass and Sherborne in a triangle match last week.
Shonchari Subha and Ellyca Miguel both captained the team and the results were as follows:
NAISAK (2) VS (14) Compass
NAISAK (3) VS (7) Sherborne
Congratulations to Sarah Mendoza for being nominated as today’s player of the match!
