This June, Nord Anglia Education will bring together some of the finest young musicians and singers from Nord Anglia Education schools across the globe in the first ever Global Orchestra.
As part of their commitment to help students develop the skills and talents to achieve their ambitions, Nord Anglia Education is funding an exciting opportunity for students to participate in a weeklong summer camp in New York! This will consist of a residential programme culminating in a public performance. Throughout the week, students will participate in inspiring workshops and practice sessions guided by experts, watch performances by elite artists and be immersed in the city’s arts culture to nurture their talent. Students will develop their creativity, confidence and collaboration skills as they work with and learn from each other.
Auditions for primary and secondary students will take place in each school in March. The top performers will be invited to share a recorded audition with a global judging panel who will select three young musicians and singers from each school to join the 93 student international ensemble.
As CISAK’s newly founded music department grows, we look forward to nurturing and development the musical talents of our own students and put them on the path to being able to participate in such opportunities. We wish our sister schools’ students the best of luck and can’t wait to celebrate the success of this brilliant event.
UPDATE
Jessica Skerritt (6NP) and Akhila Raj (7LO) will be auditioning to participate in the Global Orchestra Choir. The girls will be involved in an internal audition, where they will be recorded singing a song of their choice. CISAK will then send these recordings to the Global Orchestra's judging panel for the next level of auditions. If you and your child feel that they too would like to audition, please do not hesitate to email the school's Publicity and Communications Coordinator via email.
