Yesterday our Year 13 students hosted guests who were eager to learn more about the IB programme. Students and parents from Year 10 - 12 joined us in the library where the class of 2019 proudly exhibited the marvellous coursework that has kept them so busy over the past two years.
Our IB Showcase has become an annual fixture and serves two purposes, firstly to celebrate the academic progress and quality of work produced by our Year 13’s. Also, the IB Showcase provides a fantastic opportunity for younger students to learn about options choices, internal assessment and the IB core. Seeing examples of IB standard work and discussing the challenges is the first step towards a successful IB journey.
The breadth and variety of learning experiences offered by studying the IB at BIS Hanoi were on full display. Our guests spoke very favourably about the eloquence and clarity of communication demonstrated by our soon to be graduates. To be able to speak clearly and confidently on subjects ranging from history and performance to physics and ethics is characteristic of the internationally minded IB.
I would like to wish all of our year 13’s the very best for their upcoming examinations. Although the internal component of their examinations are complete a rigorous period of examinations will begin after the Spring break. Good luck to you all, I have every faith that you will make us proud.
