Dear Parents,

At BIS we really value opportunities for our students to take part in learning outside the classroom as these provide an excellent forum to reinforce qualities from our BIS Aide-Memoire of perseverance, respect and learning together. Today we waved goodbye to two groups of students who have departed on their weekend adventures.

Our Year 5 and 6 pupils are taking part in our very first regional Nord Anglia Games tournament in Northbridge, Cambodia. The focus of the games is to have fun and meet students from other countries whilst enjoying friendly competition in basketball and t-ball. Some parents have joined the team so we have our own BIS cheerleaders too!

The second group of over 40 Secondary students set off with heavy backpacks, tents and walking boots, ready for their Duke of Edinburgh Awards Silver Expedition practice. We look forward to hearing all about how they persevered to overcome challenges on Monday when they return to school.

The theme of adventure continues into next week with the departure of Year 7, 8 and 9 for their annual residential trips to Sapa, Cat Ba, and La Ferme du Colvert.

Events of a different kind will also take place at school, as our Primary students will be performing on the stage for the annual Winter Concert. Everyone is welcome to come and watch on Thursday evening at 5:30 pm.

One final mention of our staff and parent social event which is being held at Mad Society next week on Friday 7th December. Please purchase your tickets in advance from our Marketing and Admissions Department.
