We heard the admissions’ tutors from the outstanding universities of MIT and Penn State explain why they admire the Cambridge qualifications, that BIS Hanoi students present for.

Today, it was wonderful to assemble together the students from Year 9 to 13 in order to celebrate the success of our Cambridge IGCSE learners. We heard the admissions’ tutors from the outstanding universities of MIT and Penn State explain why they admire the Cambridge qualifications, that BIS Hanoi students present for. In particular, they valued the academic rigour and depth of the Cambridge qualifications. They know that Cambridge qualifications provide students with an invaluable base of skills and knowledge and that’s why they want BIS Hanoi learners to join their universities.

So it was with great pleasure, that we were able to present the students of the class of 2017, with their IGCSE certificates. We marvelled at their achievement and recognised their hard work in smashing the global averages. We reminded them that 8 million Cambridge IGCSE scripts are marked by examiners, every year; therefore, the achievements of BIS Hanoi students in 2017 can only be described as world class.

A balanced British international curriculum that inspires original thinkers and caring global citizens

This is the strategic statement that guides all of our secondary curriculum provision at BIS Hanoi. Last night, we presented to the parents of Key Stage 3 students the new curriculum, that children in Year 7, 8 and 9 will follow from August 2018. The curriculum was well received because it was balanced, academically challenging and provided all children with the opportunity to study languages, including French and Spanish.

Tickets for our secondary production are now on sale. Our wonderful musical opens on the 7th February and closes on the 8th February. We will provide 2 nights of incredible entertainment so please come along and support the students and BIS Hanoi.
