At MFL BIS Hanoi, we are rethinking the ways in which we could prepare students for learning, working, and becoming a citizenship in a global society that requires individuals to effectively engage with each other. It has become clear that despite differences in ages, culture and policy contexts across the world, there are also many common threads in how teachers and students approached the effort to building and sustaining a system-wide commitment to helping youth develop, practice, master these competencies, creatively approach tasks, and be lifelong learners.
Flipped classroom is an instructional strategy and a type of blended learning that reverses the traditional learning environment. It moves activities, including those that may have traditionally been considered homework, back into the classroom but with the input of the student, rather than the teacher.

As shown by the video, students had to create their own lesson or song about a key notion of French. Those students did not hesitate to go the extra mile in order to have a deep understanding of the subject!
Los Churros
Students investigated the formula of Churros and made a video presentation to the class showing the making of the recipe .
Both videos show the different sides of the learning of a language through independent activities covering culture, academic and linguistic knowledge, taking advantage of technology, modernity and 21st century ways of learning.
The team, established earlier this month, aims to raise awareness of safeguarding and child protection by empowering students to recognise potential concerns and know how to refer and report them.
