The KS3 reading challenge was launched this week in the British International School Hanoi library and the race is on to win the mystery prizes.
Students in Year 7,8 and 9 will receive 1 house point for every book that they read just as long as they pass Miss Ba’s quiz on the book! Students who read all 9 books for their year group, will win a mystery prize.
The reading challenge has been designed by Miss Ba and the English department to encourage our younger students to read more independently at home. Numerous studies point to the importance of a reading habit in developing young people’s command of language which will benefit them in all subjects that require reading and writing.
Parents of reluctant readers in KS3 are requested to encourage their children to take advantage of this opportunity.
