Year 10 iGCSE business studies students have been collaborating with Mr Andy Bird of Epicure as part of a marketing competition. Students had to find a suitable new product to sell in Queen Bean café from August.
As always it was amazing to see how our students behave and perform incredible tasks that they have never tried before, (as to prepare any kind of food), in the most respectful and considerate way.
It was my pleasure to award Nguyen Hoa Thuy Tien (Tina) and Le Hien Chuc An with prizes for co-designing the new BIS Hanoi Lionhearts logo. It was a stunning collaborative effort, which captured the spirit of our school, perfectly.
With an outstanding profile and application, Ngoc Vi has been accepted into 5 prestigious American educational institutions including Brown University, Duke University, Johns Hopkins University, Northwestern University and Colgate University.
On June 2nd we welcomed over 70 students from schools across Hanoi to take part in the 2018 Codeathon. The young coders, aged 8 to 12, worked in small teams to demonstrate their coding and collaboration skills by completing a challenge using Scratch.
It has been a busy and very successful year in Mathematics for our BIS Hanoi students, and we are very proud of their commitment, enthusiasm and participation in these events.
Many of our students have been developing new computing skills from subject specialists in the primary school and our first cohort of computer scientists have comfortably sat their final IGCSE exams.
A team of 6, Year 7 students: Quynh Anh, Noah, Kanta, Bao Linh, Tuong Anh and Ky Lam entered the World Scholar’s Cup, the first round of which was held last weekend. The team were very successful and are now through to the second round in Kuala Lumpur which will be held W/C June 18th.
