This week we were very lucky to receive an invite to the Secondary IB Art Exhibition.
This is an exhibition showcasing the final projects and works of Year 12 and 13 children.
In term II, BIS Hanoi's intrepid Biology & Geography students from Year 12 made the short journey to Ba Vi national park to soak up the sunshine and learn some valuable skills out in the 'field'.
With their colourful stalls set up, trading began; the proceeds of this project will be donated to the Tam Dao Bear Project which they will visit next week.
At BIS, we are always looking to provide students with opportunities to make links with others outside our BIS community. This helps to develop global perspectives and to understand a different culture.
The Whole School Science Assembly took place this morning and was led by the Secondary Science Department to mark the end of British Science Week 2018.
Over the last two weeks in Primary assemblies, 4B and 5S have reinforced the importance of perseverance, not only in school but in life too. Ms Ower’s class told us the story of ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’ and cleverly adapted it to show how we can persevere even when storytelling. Today, 4B gave us some fantastic phrases to help keep us on track: keep going, don’t give up, step forwards, push yourself, everything is possible. In addition to these important messages, assemblies are a wonderful for opportunity for children to practise their speaking and presentation skills and it is wonderful to see our students doing so with such confidence and clarity.
