Last weekend, a group of intrepid students embarked on a Duke of Edinburgh Adventurous Journey that took them deep into the captivating landscapes of Mai Chau, Vietnam.
From May 24 - 26, 40 students of BIS Hanoi competed against fellow students from other British schools in Asia, demonstrating their skills and sportsmanship at the U11 FOBISIA Games.
Earlier this month, 50 students from Nord Anglia schools around the world, including our representative, Hyeonchan (Year 10), gathered at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for a unique experience that brings to life the MIT-NAE STEAM collaboration.
Year 12 students visited the Mai Chau region as part of the recent residential trip week at BIS Hanoi. The focus of this trip was to engage with the local community and support enhancing the local infrastructure.
Embarking on exciting residential trips, students from Years 7 to 12 have been engaging in a wide range of activities, creating unforgettable memories along the way.
It was wonderful to see some of the youngest members of the BIS Hanoi community embracing adventure, enjoying unforgettable experiences, and forming closer bonds with their classmates and peers.
The trip itself was like hope in Pandora's box - within the challenges the students had to face, sprouted gratitude and appreciation for the easy life back home
After winning Wilderness Foundation Africa’s 2018-2019 Wild Rhino Competition, Duc Tuan from Year 12 had the opportunity to go on a trip to South Africa. In July, he took part in a wilderness trail at one of South Africa’s Game Reserves. Since his return, Duc Tuan has been happy to share details of his once-in-a-lifetime experience as well as what he has learnt about rhinos and wildlife protection.
The boys did really well alongside a total of 120 students and some amazingly talented golfers. Our highest position in the ranking was Quoc An who came 5th.
UNISMUN XI began with students Choi Yoon Seo, Jeon Jin Woo, Park Sung Woo, Nguyen Duc Tuan, Vu Duc Hang Giang and Nguyen Ha Minh taking their positions in the Human Rights Council, General Assembly 2, the Environmental Committee, the Special Conference, General Assembly 3 and General Assembly 1 respectively.
