This morning, BIS Hanoi celebrated two extraordinary academic achievements with Phuong Anh has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Top in the World’ in IGCSE Maths and Bao Linh, Kim Ngan and Quynh Anh returned from Yale University with a plethora of medals of WSC Tournament of Champions.
On November 16-17, UNICEF National Solutions Summit was hosted at UNIS with the participation of our students, UNIS’s students and students from Vietnamese public schools. BIS and UNIS students led teams of students to tackle the problems facing children in Vietnam today.
Saturday, November 9, BIS Hanoi hosted the Middle School Girls Basketball tournament. Hard work paid off as the girls managed to win many of their games!

On Thursday and Friday, Year 13 delivered some outstanding presentations for their Theory of Knowledge (TOK) IB diploma course. The quality was particularly high this year with a small number of students even achieving full marks.
This year, students at the British International School Hanoi (BIS Hanoi), part of the global Nord Anglia Education family of schools, achieved an impressive pass rate of 92.4% with 46.5% being A*/A level. The students recently had the privilege to be able to celebrate their outstanding achievements at the British Ambassador's Residence.
Wednesday (9th October) lunch time saw the return of our termly Live Lunch concert series with students from Secondary taking to the stage in the school’s central reception area.
On Friday 27th September 2019, BIS Hanoi hosted the International Schools of Hanoi University Fair 2019 at our campus. There were more than 150 universities from 20 different countries in attendance with over 30 workshops for Year 11-13 students from BIS Hanoi and UNIS as well as parents.
On Wednesday 25th September, students in Years 7-10 took part in our termly House Maths competition. This term, the competition was Sprint Maths and the atmosphere was electric with students being determined to be the quickest to the teacher and lots of friendly competition between the teams!
On Tuesday, we were delighted to welcome Mr Norval - a representative from Wilderness Foundation Africa - to BIS Hanoi. The visitor, with Duc Tuan (Year 12), delivered a presentation to Key Stage 4&5 students about the pleight of rhinos in the wild and the projects being worked on to maintain the population of these incredible animals.
The Junior round of The Global Round of World Scholar's Cup (WSC) 2019 has recently taken place in Manila. A BIS Hanoi team of Bao Linh, Quynh Anh and Kim Ngan were incredibly successful at the competition and achieved qualification for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University in November 2019!
35 US Universities including New York University, Suffolk University, Northwestern in Qatar, Florida Institute of Tech., Universities of Iowa, Florida, Tulsa, Houston and many more participated in the fair.
On 25/6/2019, our Key Stage 3 students travelled into the spectacular galaxy with lots of laughter, great companions and amazing performances! It is so happy to see that our students have had a memorable time together!
