BIS Hanoi's Performing Arts students participated in the Nord Anglia Southeast Asia Performing Arts festival in Kuala Lumpur from March 28th to April 1st. From Orchestra to Drama, Jazz, Choir, and Dance, our students immersed themselves in their craft.

The start of this academic year has been a busy one in the Performing Arts department, with Dance, Drama, Theatre Studies and Music lessons being delivered to students across our entire age range; from Foundation Stage Music through to Year 13 IB Theatre Studies.
The British International School Hanoi will host the first Southeast Asia region Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival in collaboration with The Juilliard School from 2-6 April, 2019. This exciting event gives students the opportunity to attend music performances and participate in unique workshops and rehearsals led by talented performers and music educators, including Julliard-affiliated conductor Radu Paponiu.
Alumni artists from The Juilliard School frequently visit our schools around the world, transforming the connection students have to the performing arts.
Actor and teaching artist Abby Gerdts, along with dancer Ingrid Kapteyn, have visited a number of Nord Anglia Education schools across Asia, Europe and the Middle East. The pair share their experiences teaching at our schools, their thoughts on our upcoming regional festivals, and what motivated and inspired them to pursue careers in the performing arts when they were at school.
In collaboration with UNICEF, secondary school students from Nord Anglia Education, the world’s leading premium schools organisation, have converged in New York City for seminars, debates and speaking opportunities, including presentations at the High Level Political Forum at the Headquarters of United Nations.
