BIS Houston's campus grand, state-of-the-art design across 275K square feet is like no other in the Houston area. All indoor spaces of our school building include natural day light, airy windows, and glass walls, which increase the visibility of learning activities and inspire students’ connections. We have an immense centralised, flexible, and collaborative workspace that has been designed specifically around students' age-appropriate activities and needs – uniting the whole community in our commitment to learning.
92% of BIS Houston parents agree our school provides a stimulating environment for their child. Our distinctive centralised, well-illuminated, and glass architecture borrows features from university settings, where students can easily communicate and learn from each other – whether they're moving between research, lab work, or quiet study. Our naturally lit school library, The Agora, is another exemplary feature inspired by collegiate settings and shared by students of all ages.
Additionally, several of our other facilities have been designed strategically for skill-building activities. For example, students can boost their well-being, public-speaking skills, creativity, confidence, or teamwork in the suitable spaces that further their goals – from our outdoor recreational areas and sports fields, MIT-inspired makerspace, or comprehensive Performing Arts Centre. Among these spaces, our Performing Arts Centre has been designed with a dance studio, black box performance space, auditorium, and outdoor amphitheatre to nurture students' skills across creativity and innovation.
